Olympics is the biggest sports event take place after every 4 years. The event in the year 2016 is going to take place in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Almost every country and their athletes participate in this mega event, few of them prove themselves by earning Gold medals, some win the Silver and Bronze medals, other just take pride to be the part of the Olympic games. According to the Olympics standings, United States is the most Gold medals earning country and have earned 46 Gold medals in different sports including Boxing, Golf, Swimming, Cycling, Wrestling, baseball, rugby and in the basketball. US also win 28 silver medals in the above sports in addition to few more and 29 Bronze Medals as well. The total number of medals in the 2012 Olympics games won by America is 103. The second country with most medals earning record is China. With 28 Gold medals, 28 Silver Medals and 22 Bronze medals, China won 88 medals at total. In the list of Olympics standings, Russia owns the 3rd Position and has won 24 Gold medals, 25 Silver Medals and 32 Bronze Medals at all. Another most  medals winning country is Great Britain which in total has won 65 medals out of which 29 are Gold, 17 are silver and 19 are Bronze.

On the fifth spot in the list of top 10 most medals winning countries in Olympics is Germany. Germany has proved itself in Football, Badminton and Archery. The total number of medals being won by Germany in Olympics is 44 out of which 11 are Gold, 19 are Silver and 14 are bronze medals in different sports. In our list, Japan resides on Number 6th with 7 Gold, 14 Silver and 17 Bronze medals. France, which is good in Football, Rugby, Swimming and basketball has won 35 Medals in Olympics with 11 Gold, 11 Silver and 13 Bronze. On number 8th, 9th and 10th resides the Australia, South Korea and Italy. They have won 35, 28 and 28 medals respectively.
